...in a totally good way. I spent ALL DAY downstairs in my crafting/sewing lair. I made lots of stuff to show you but first things first. Here she is....my Cross-Town-Challenge folder done up with resolution and one-little-word reminders. I mostly used the rest of my October Afternoon Girl Friday paper (same as the paper used on the day planner I showed earlier). This challenge was fun fun fun, and as soon as I saw Felicia's challenge I knew I wanted to use this theme.
Here are the steps in the construction:
1) Fold, crease, and ink all the edges. Cut and apply paper to the inside panels. I creased the bottom part at 4 inches:
2) Fold the bottom up, and sew around the 4 big sections to make the pockets and give some nice dimension to the top part with the stitching:
Step 4: Decorate.
This ribbon pack came from the Michaels $2.00 section, and it is GREAT. I need to get back there and buy the other colors. There is a great variety-ric rac, lace, pom pom, stitched edge, and what looks like bakers twine is a really nice flat heavy cord.
Here is a shot of all the stuff I tend to pull out to play with and rumble through looking for just the right element:
Here is the inside:
I want to keep photos, and a mini journal of weight loss progess, dogs with their hair cuts, home improvement before and afters, and finished quilting projects.
Here is the back, with a spot for a Jan 1 and Dec 31 picture of me.
I hope you enjoyed this editon of Cross-Town-Challenge from Felicia and I and that you were inspired to try your hand at making one. Come back tomorrow for my new turn at the challenge.
